Oh, Valentine's Day is approaching, despite the immense controversy on whether or not one should hate or love Valentine's Day, I think there are some serious issues that we could look at to make our decision.
The main thing I have been pondering on for a while is the idea of not relational love between humans but the love of Christ to his creation. I think we, as humans, focus way too much on the worldly love that we get, and not enough on the love that Christ displays and gives to us. So many women across the world HATE Valentine's Day with a sincere passion, and understandably so, they may have had a bad experience, many bad relationships, or they simply are not in a relationship on this fateful day of the year. I would urge them to look passed the Hallmark holiday of Valentine but rather look to Christ for the love that they are searching for. I know people may say that it is easy for one to say if they do not hate Valentine's Day and this is true, but if you will just give it a chance to let God pour the love he has for you, Valentine's Day may have a completely new meaning for you.

I'm going through a rough patch with God right now, but I can honestly say I've never known a love as great as what I had with Jesus. My boyfriend is amazing but he just doesn't compare.
ReplyDeleteI have had a boyfriend for three years, and I am completely in love with him. Although this is true, the love of Christ is so merciful and faithful to completely fulfill our every single need. I have been through a ton of spots of time where I was struggling with my faith and God was faithful to me to deliver me, and he can do that for you too because He loves you!
